What Happens On Judgement Day?
Better prepare yourself carefully for this day…
Are you ready to face your “sins”? Perhaps you’ve heard about judgement day from your local church, mosque or temple. Perhaps you were having fun in your life and some constipated person ruined your day by telling you that you can do some things while you can’t do other ones.
Judgement day has been a “terror” for most people throughout time — being human means being somehow limited in terms of our conceptualization of reality, or how we perceive and understand our environment.
Because of these limitations, it’s not always easy for us to make sense of things and really differentiate truth from illusion. So how do we do it? Usually we turn ourselves to “authorities” on the subject, scriptures and whatever material we can come across.
Being initially “limited” in our understanding, and then learning from biased “sources” — we create an explosive mix of confusion in our minds and because it’s so hard to make sense of any of this, we give up and settle for “Oh whatever, God will forgive me.” or, “Judgement day, all of that — nothing’s true just chill.” and so on.
So, is judgement day true or not?
In life some things make us happy, others make us unhappy. Some people find happiness in praying, others in partying. Those who pray might hate parties. Those who party might hate praying.
Does it mean one is better than the other? Absolutely not. Each soul is in a specific grade just like at school.
If you’re meant to learn about this physical reality in your current lifetime, then partying is much more spiritual for you than praying.
Every single human being is a unique mix of these likes and dislikes. We find pleasures in some experiences and pain in others. Etc.
What makes you happy? What makes you unhappy?
If you want to know whether you’ll “land” in heaven or hell — answer these questions first. Once you did, look at it from an “analytical” perspective — the thing that makes you happy, is it ‘right’ or ‘wrong’? The thing that makes you unhappy, is it ‘right’ or ‘wrong’?
(Note: Right and wrong are relative terms here to help the human mind make sense of this information.)
Now that you’re done. Let me tell you something, keep it in mind and always think about it.
This reality you’re in right now, the one you call “life” is not completely “physical”.
Let’s take a brief example. Anything you desire that is “physical”, let’s say an iPhone — originates from your mind, which isn’t physical — somehow through some influences, whether Steve Jobs’ marketing or your friends having an iPhone or simply because you resonate with the brand (mentally and emotionally) — you desire an iPhone.
Physicality is therefore the effect and not the cause of our existence. In fewer words, your mental or emotional realities initiate your physical world.
Everything you do therefore in this physical world you call life, has its origin in your mental and emotional ‘worlds’ but also some sort of consequences. And these consequences are not sins — they are the balancing of life.
Just for an example, in most religious books it is said that the universe is created with perfect measure. This means that everything exists in a perfectly proportionated way, one that assures everything is functioning properly just like your organs and blood work in a way that assures your health.
So you can have any kind of desires whether ‘good’ or ‘bad’, you can try a bunch of things, that’s the goal of this plane of existence you call life — but before you gain the wisdom, you have to experience, which means you’ll make mistakes — and these mistakes have consequences. And no, these consequences are not being burned in hell but rather — facing our desires to their fullest.
What do you think is the real and only source of pain? Not having what we want? Or having the desire to want something in the first place? Answer it to yourself.
The main reason we enjoy this plane of existence is because we are attached to some experiences — read that word again — attached, literally attached, bounded to our desires for these experiences. So each time you desire something, you ‘tie’ yourself to this thing — and until you experience it to the fullest, which means eating until you feel like “exploding” — your hunger won’t go — and only once you’re so full you want to explode, will you realize that it’s useless to eat that much. Only then will you earn wisdom and let your soul continue its journey to something else.
Again and again we go through similar experiences, whether it’s with food, sex or whatever — and each time, we realize that those things won’t fulfill our deepest need to merge with All — it may take a lifetime, it may take many ones, often hundreds of them but ultimately — we let go of our senses to seek something that will fulfill our soul. This something is self realization. It’s a “spiritual awakening”. It’s realizing our true nature. Just like Jesus, Buddha or Krishna did. But that’s another story.
Judgement day in conclusion
There’s no such thing as a judgement day — you thought you’d be burning in flames? You thought you’d be living happily in heaven while others would be suffering for their “sins”?
Whatever group you thought you’d be in, both are arrogance. It’s arrogant to believe we can do something to “offend” The Creator of All, but even more arrogant to believe we are better than anything that exists — both are “wrong” beliefs, and the moment you take the time to examine their sources in your mind — you realize they’re just an exaggeration of self importance from a distorted thought within the unconscious.
The only judgement you’ll face is the one you have against yourself, the only hell you’ll experience is the intensity of your desires and their consequences, the only heaven you’ll experience is the lightness you feel once you’ve integrated your lesson and let go of all meaningless biases in your mind.
Go through life, enjoy it all, have fun — and then learn your lessons — keep in mind that everything you desire literally attaches you to that thing, next experience this thing fully, don’t hold yourself back — and then realize that it can’t fulfill your craving for higher states of awareness which unite you with The Creator.
